Volcanoes and Earthquakes

Mount. Vesuvius erupted over Pompeii causing hot ash and lava to cover the town.
Not many people survived and some survivors wrote about it afterwards.

Earthquakes occur along faults in the Earth's crust know as fault lines.
Faults occur when tectonic plates slide against each other causing the two
plates to be twisted and squashed until one of the plates splits.
